The thermal insulation strip is the core component of the threaded thermal insulation profile, which is a "bridge break" in the heat transfer path of the aluminum profile, reducing the transfer of heat in the aluminum profile; It is also a structural connection of aluminum profiles on both sides of the thermal insulation profile. Through its connection, the three parts of the thermal insulation profile become a whole and jointly bear the load. Unlike rubber strips, it is made of new composite materials by mechanical rolling, and cannot be replaced alone. Replacement can only be performed together with the entire profile.

Currently, there are three types of thermal insulation strips for aluminum alloy doors and windows, one using PVC (polyvinyl chloride) as the raw material, one using PU (polyurethane) as the raw material, and the other using PA (polyurethane, commonly known as nylon) as the raw material. PVC insulation strips and PA insulation strips are both extrusion processes, while PU adhesive strips are injection molding processes. 1. The appearance of PA insulation strip is not as smooth as that of PVC insulation strip.

3. There is a clear and crisp sound when the PA heat insulation strip is broken, and the fracture can be restored without deformation after breaking; After the PVC heat insulation strip is broken, the fracture becomes white and deformed, making it impossible to butt restore.

4. With the same specification and model, the weight of PA insulation strip is slightly less than that of PVC insulation strip.

Characteristics and storage precautions of heat insulation strips

Thermal insulation strips are best stored at room temperature, in a dry, ventilated environment, because the characteristic of poly-cool amine is that it can become soft and large in size under high or humid temperatures, resulting in the inability of the thermal insulation strips to penetrate the profile cavity: In low temperatures, the thermal insulation strips can become brittle and small in size, which can easily crack when threading, leading to the scrapping of the profile. In addition, the storage time of the heat insulation strip should not exceed one year. The heat insulation strip will slowly absorb the moisture in the air, and the heat insulation strip will degrade and become very brittle, resulting in the unusable heat insulation strip.
